Once upon a time, we started lifting weights. It was good.

Exercise is healthy. It makes you look better and feel better, both physically and mentally. We started building muscle. We learned a lot about exercise of various types and it was very very good. That was over 15 years ago.

The nutrition part, which is critical, lagged. Basically, we love to eat. We are foodies! This includes our main author (Zeke), Naomi, and Zelda.

Nutrition is important no matter what you do. Even if you never exercise. If you run long races (Zeke sometimes and Zelda), cycle centuries and up (Zeke), or play any competitive sport (Naomi), it matters even more.

If you are a bodybuilder, which we will roughly describe as someone who does resistance training with one goal being to look better by looking healthier (like a Greek God or Goddess for example), it matters a lot.

Doesn’t matter whether you are a competitive bodybuilder, or an Average Joe at the gym, it matters. Not just eating muscle promoting (or “anabolic”) foods, but much more.

On this site, we will examine nutrition and exercise, for anyone who exercises, with an emphasis on bodybuilders. This is especially focused on bodybuilders with a life! Bodybuilding is important to us, but so is general fitness and generally enjoying life! We are not going to live on broccoli and baked chicken breasts (and weight the damn shit) and tuna fish out of the can!
